Is NOOK being discontinued? ›

For information about the discontinuation of our NOOK 1st Edition from 2018, click here. As of June 2024, the following functions are no longer available on the devices listed above: Purchasing new content. Registering with a bn.com account.

You can also locate your Member Number on your own by any of the following methods, if possible: If your Membership is linked to your bn.com Account: Sign in to your account and go to your Manage Memberships and Rewards page. Sign in to your account on the Barnes & Noble App and open the Membership tray.

New York, NY – February 5, 2024 – Barnes & Noble is excited to announce their newest device, The NOOK^® 9” Tablet, built in collaboration with Lenovo. The newest member of the Barnes & Noble NOOK suite is now available for preorder, with a release date in May.

Barnes & Noble is sunsetting support for some of its oldest e-readers. It'll start by disabling the devices' services starting in April 2024; afterward, the company will disable access to the Barnes & Noble bookstore, removing the ability to buy new books on the devices beginning in June 2024.

You can access your NOOK Library at any time by signing in on BN.com, your NOOK App, or on your NOOK device.

The “About Your NOOK” page will display general information about your NOOK including the serial number, software version, model number, and Wi-Fi MAC address. This page will also list the owner's name and e-mail address. You can also locate the serial number of your NOOK by visiting www.barnesandnoble.com.

Once archived, go to All Titles > Select the Menu to View Archive > Tap the title you wish to Unarchive and it will be added back to your library. Before taking these steps, first confirm that the eBook you are looking for was purchased using the same email address as the one that is registered to your NOOK Device/App.

Can you use Barnes and Noble Gift Cards at Starbucks? Standalone Starbucks stores do not accept Barnes & Noble gift cards for goods and services. However, a physical gift card may be redeemed as cash for goods on tasty treats when you shop at any Starbucks located inside a Barnes and Noble retail location.

Do Barnes and Noble gift cards expire? ›

Gift Cards have no expiration dates. Hold your Gift Cards securely and write down your Gift Card number and PIN in a safe place.

Gift Cards and eGift Cards that are saved to your BN.com account are automatically applied to your next purchase on BN.com, including NOOK content purchases such as eBooks. Gift Cards will be applied to your orders first before any other payment methods.

To check your Barnes & Noble gift card balance, look on the back of the card to find your 15 or 19 digit card number as well as the PIN, which will need to be scratched off to access.

If you do not have your Member Card at the time of purchase, you can access your virtual Membership card in the Barnes & Noble App. Purchases made prior to entry into the Member Program or without a Member number will not be credited a retroactive refund.

Premium Membership is a one-year term. Each annual $39.99 payment will provide another year of Membership.

If they keep up with their average rate of closing about 15 stores a year, we're looking at potentially 645 B&N stores by the end of 2024. They're even hoping to push that number to 650. So, it seems like B&N is not just sticking around; they're expanding their horizons.

Barnes & Noble is removing the ability to purchase books, audiobooks, and other content via the Nook app for Android on April 4 to avoid having to support Google's payment system.

As of September 12, 2022, the existing nookaudiobooks.com website and NOOK Audiobooks app are no longer available or technically supported, so access to any existing content is only possible via the new Barnes & Noble NOOK App and BN.com.
